Clinical Coordination / Field Experience
Access to health professions students is one of the greatest resources available to health professionals. Students are eager to learn from local health professionals and comeaway with a greater understanding of what it means to practice in a rural community. The two regional AHECs assisted by the North Dakota AHEC Program Office, facilitate rural rotation placements enabling statewide community training for health professionals to reverse the trend toward shortages and uneven distribution of health care practitioners in our rural areas.
